Our 2023 meeting was a success on multiple levels: we celebrated one of the original meeting founder's 80th birthday; gave back to a community we've come to love after the devastating fires that swept through Lahaina earlier in the year; and enjoyed engaging topics like: No Neurosurgeon, No Problem! Sending Home Traumatic ICH from the ED; Under The Gun: An ER Doctor’s Cure for America’s Gun Epidemic; The Great Hula: Managing Hypertensive Emergency in the ED; Substance Use Disorder & The New DEA MATE Requirements and many more!

It felt good to close out 2022 with a meeting that was more "normal" and Mother Nature didn't disappoint either - serving up lots of sunshine! With wonderful attendees - both new and returning - our faculty delivered exceptional content as well: Tips to Avoid Getting Sued, Reducing Provider Burnout, COVID Drug Toxicities, Addressing Comatose Patients, The History of Emergency Medicine - just to name a few!

2021 Proved to be one of our largest meetings - likely because everyone was excited to be able to travel again! While the island served up some crazy weather, we still enjoyed a wonderful Luau, discussions on COVID research, as well as engaging lectures on updates in Stroke Management, Cardiac Ultrasound, Deadly Viruses, Bariatric Surgery Complications, and many more!

Getting to the island was touch-and-go due to COVID travel restrictions, but we did make it in person! As with all things in 2020, we adapted, got creative and were still able to offer attendees a great education!

Happy 40th Year! We celebrated our anniversary with an amazing Luau, then educated attendees with topics like "Oh Crap! They Have Hyperkalemia!", "My Sudden Death Story - Beyond Ischemia", and "Count to Ten! Treating Seizures in the ED", just to name a few. Never a dull moment on the island!

2018 proved to be a stellar combination of: expert faculty; interesting & engaging topics including New Stroke Guidelines, a High Sensitivity Troponin Debate, Sepsis Management & The Nightmare of Anticoagulation Associated Bleeding; and endless sunshine!

Spending a few hours a day learning about the latest info on emerging diseases, telemedicine, sports concussions and dive emergencies (just to name a few!) is easy when you have the rest of the day to play in paradise.

When they weren't diving with turtles, surfing, or hiking mountains, our expert speakers shared groundbreaking research on overcrowding, ultrasound, and biomarkers.

2015 in Maui brought insights on scuba diving emergencies, pelvic trauma, and acute spinal cord injury.
